Custom text in extended notifications

Hi,

the extended notifications look really good but there are a few things I cannot solve.

The simple requirement is to notifiy users if there is at least one workitems from a specifiy task in their workplace. The notification should work for reassigned and new workitems.

Starting with the topic I used the swnadmin and created everything new. The report for the selection and sending found items but could not send them. The problem was that the system saved the items not for my new category but for the standard category. with the help from Rick Bakker - SCN Member of the Month October 2013. I found the solution. He described that he is using the standard category and is creating just the subscription. This helped and the notifications are send now.

My current problem is that I need to notify the user with the granularity "one e-mail per category". This also works but I don't get the point about customized messages.

The documentation just says that we can modify the message in the general settings. But this is really for all messages. To change the text for the subject I took a look at the SWN message class. I wanted to create my own message class within our own namespace. But then we are not able to customize the message that would look like NA/ABC/DGE010. So we would need to use the Z-Namespace and create an own package for this.

There must be a better way to have customized messages for the granularity "one e-mail per category", or? Or are you all using an other granularity and use the text from the workitem?

Greetings, Vanessa
