Please share inputs,what are the best practices for a fresh implementation?
Business Entities
- We are planning to implement everything as ABAP Class.
- Each business entity will be represented by a separate OO Class
- After going through Jocelyn blogs there is no doubt on which is better between BOR or OO. However would still like to know other viewpoints, if any.
Events
- This is the main point of concern.
- Lets say we need to implement custom PO WF
- So if we go with Custom OO class representing PO, what about standard BOR events triggered. They are already in place, spread through respective transactions.
- Should we create custom events for all scenarios and find its place and trigger.Isn't this a lot of effort. Is it useful?
- I was thinking of a table map of BOR to OO events => Create a custom event handler for the map and trigger corresponding OO event => Edit needed BOR linkage and assign custom event handler
- But that would mean double events for certain cases, and surely not the best of a solution.
- What is the best way to approach this problem?
Somehow I wonder if there are standard classes that replace standard BOR? If not, on one side SAP promotes use of OO (which is obviously better), still there is no one to one replacement of standard BORs?
