Hello.
for our workflow regarding Purchase Order release strategy we need to know which
agent has processed the last release (=Workitem).
Now i found FM "SAP_WAPI_DIALOG_PROTOCOL". This FM shows up the needed
information in tab "Workflow objects" in dialog.
But anybody knows how to get this information from the database tables ? Or is there
any FM or class which will provide this information without dialog ?

Hi,
a strange issue.
WF triggered, now a parallel fork.
3 out of 1 fork.
1st branch-User Decision with a Rule
2nd branch-Wait event
3rd branch-Wait event
Now if I see the WF log, it shows rule couldnt find the agent.
So initially I thought of SWI1_RULE, but strange thing is that I cannot see the workitem id for this User Decision Step.
Also neither I see this WF in error thru SWI2_DIAG or SWPR.
So now how can I refresh this User Decision Step again and try using SWI1_RULE or is there any other means to process this?

Hi Experts,
When WF is sending reminder mail its sending from individual ID not from WF-Batch ID. When I check WF log for that particular instance I can see the container work item created by User is WF-Batch.. Can any one help me on this how to trace out why reminder is sending by individual ID not by group ID??

Hello guys,
Event is not triggering the workflow.
Event is created from the custom class as there is no standard BO available.
When I check the event in SWUE, event is getting triggered and trace is coming.
I have checked in SWE2 and the linkage is active.
I have used COND_B as object type and created a custom FM for event container.
Can you kindly let me know if i'm missing anything.

Is it Possible to display the list of all the Pending Work Items/Tasks with their reapective tasks Owners using a SAP BPM Reporting Activity or by using some Dashboard. The Requirement is if some user haing Administrator Role he should be able to see the list of all the Pending taks with the respective Owners in his Inbox, maybe in the Form of Report or some DashBoard.
Please help me out and provide a solution if possible and how can we achieve the same. Tool i am using is NWDS 7.2.

We are in the process of upgrading from EHP 5 to EHP 7. I am working on an enhancement to an existing workflow alert that works in EHP 5 but is giving me an error in EHP 7. I have duplicated in EHP 7 what is working in EHP 5 and am getting one error when I create the task in the workflow in EHP 7. The message is saying
Container element SYSID does not exist
The workflow that I am modifying in EHP7 already has a task that utilized the system value SYSID and I have tested to ensure that it is still working (EHP5 workflows were copied to EHP7 a while back). Why then am I getting this error for the new workflow task? I have researched this on the internet and I see that there is an OSS note but the description of the problem for that OSS note includes blanks in the container element name. I have not created a container element and am trying to use a system value. So I don't think the OSS note is applicable.
Any help that you can provide would be appreciated.

I see an exception while nominating a user using SAP API's. Log as below:
Caused by: com.sap.bpem.tm.exception.InvalidAuthorizationException: User Test1 is not allowed to perform action NOMINATE on task 3v67h898881811e4bae5000000ddc0f1
Nominate works fine if the user is assigned "Administrator" role. Is there an alternative role which can be assigned as we cannot give end user admin access.

We are using the standard workflow WS10000051 for FI document posting & Parking for one level approval. I have created the version 002 for this workflow an SEND EMAIL step after "Waiting for event 'REJECTED' of object type 'FIPP'" to send reject mail notification to workflow initiator.
Till mornign during testing this workflow was working fine & sending the notification on reject. But now while testing this workflow got stuck at step "Waiting for event 'REJECTED' of object type 'FIPP". By which next SEND MAIL step could not be executed.
I checked the step & found the wait step is stuck with message
Message no. SWP030.
Please help to me understand this issue.

I was very new to SAP BPM space. In the days to come , I will be assigned to BPM scenarios.. this made me to start practicing the scenario shared by Steffen Ulmer... My Name and Age example.
My BPM instance is coupled with PI 7.4 i.e. SAP PO and I an using the NWDS version SP11
After the creation of the data object , when I am trying to Apply the Template and then Assigning UI of process, its generating 2 error .
1.Assign a potential owner to human activity
2. Assign a UI component to task.
I tried creating several times even under new work space but all the time its the same result.
Please suggest what wrong I am doing.

I am having problem in shopping cart workflow.
If we create shopping cart with 15 or more line items then Approval is going to wrong line item cost object owner. However if we create shopping cart with 14 line items then it showing correct financial Approver. Even we raised one more shopping cart with value similar to 15 line items shopping cart and it also going to correct Approver.

I've been tasked with using workflow for the first time at my company. Specifically, I've been tasked with a process to create or update Cost Center master data. Browsing some of the workflow objects in SAP, I see some canned objects for Cost Center maintenance. If anyone has any examples or can provide links to help to understand and build such a process (approvals and SAP updates), it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a fan of "reinventing the wheel" if I don't have to.
(NOTE: I'm not looking for overview or generic links to workflow. I've found plenty of those. This request is specific to Cost Center maintenance.)

I am facing a issue with workflow WS10000051, when Approver REJECT the FI document from work item, then FI Document goes in change mode. Because of this the WF_INTIATOR is assigned with Approver name. So instead of workflow should go to original FI document creator person for change & correction, WF come again in Approver inbox for change FI document.
I checked the workflow log, Then found the WAIT for Rejection step having the error as per screen.
So i think if WAIT stage not completed, because of this FI Document opens in changes mode to Approvers work item. & Workflow processing changed from requester to Approver.
Please help me out.
Error in work flow wait for change event of business object bus1014, Actually this business object is triggering for two transaction one is me21n and another is c201 . am trying to create fork with two branches one is create and another if change occurs wait will trigger, bt when i trigger work flow controll is not after fork, it will stop in fork only. and am not getting my workflow container variable getting instantiate, am getting error in wait. please any one get out of me in this

I have a workitem that calls a method and run as background job. This method is raising temporary exceptions if certain logic fails. After 3 attemps I'm getting above error message and unable to re-run the workitem via SWIA t.code. Is there any way I can execute the workitem and resolve this issue?

Hi All,
Please let me know how time sheet standard behavior of approval workflow.
I ran the timesheet approval process, I found in the event trace, the following business objects are showing for the process.
When employee requests for a timesheet approval, there is no workflow triggered ( no receiver in the SWEL), it is showing BO IDOCPACKET and event MASSINPUTFINISHED and when approval approves the request it is triggered the workflow (receiver is WORKITEM) single step type.
Please clarify me on
1. Why IDOCPACKET is triggered?
2. Why ATTENDENCE is triggered?
3. whenever a time sheet request is created by user, approver will get notifications, where these configurations have been maintained?
4. When approver approves/rejects the request, initiator will get the notifications, where these configurations have been maintained?
