outcomes in Task activity step

Hi Team ,

is terminating events is necessary to get the outcomes link of task activity step ?. Here i am having having three level approver all are fixed users .if 1st user approves it continues second and so on if rejects intimates them them notification ..

here complete custom template custom business onject ,transaction also custom where i trigger my event ....
