Workflow execution suspends/halts

Hi,

Question about workflow execution. I've built a workflow which begins from two mandatory branches fork.

The left-one is a sub workflow which begins from a general task and all other steps/tasks in this sub workflow are agent-specific with hard-coded executor name (US+my_sap_username).

The right-one is a user decision, in case if user declines the step we exit from the WF, otherwise we continue, finish fork and arrive to another set of user decisions. All right wing and post fork steps executed by the same user (US+my_sap_username).

The problem is with workflow execution, when I start the WF-test (click on wrench icon) I immediately asked to approve/decline the first step of fork's right wing. If I approve this step, I'm returned to screen, where I pressed wrench icon, in order continue the workflow I have to enter to inbox and click on inbox item, then I can continue and pass through all steps in the workflow.

My question is why workflow processing suspended/halted after I approve first right wing step and in order to finish the workflow execution I have to enter to inbox and click on relevant item? Why I can't finish WF-execution without this process disturbing.

Thanks.
