Send email when work item is created!

Hi Gurus,

My requirement is to send a email notification that 'There is a pending work item in your SAP inbox'. I am trying to use report RSWUWFML2, but its not working. when i execute the report it gives me '0 work items selected. None has been sent!'. Also trying to use extended notifications, have done the config and scheduled the job for 15min. But still not working!!!

Please suggest me how can this be achieved without changing anything at workflow level (Standard WS78900007).
