Hi,

i have searched for old post for this issue but did not found a satisfying solution. here i am giving worflow design where after user decision step after few check steps there is one final posting step after all approval for transaction FBV0 which updates user WF-BATCH user.

instead of wf-batch user i want to update workflow initiator user.

could you please suggest little more in detail how to achieve this...

in one of the earliar post rick suggested:

Hello,

Okay, that is something completely different. So you don't want to change WF-BATCH, you just want to change field values in a table.

That Created-By field has WF-BATCH in there because it was run as a background job from workflow.

You should first find the workflow that did this and see if the step that does this can be placed just after a dialogue step (if available) because then it could be run under the name of the user who took the decision. Maybe you could show a screenshot of the workflow where the record gets created.

If that is not possible, then you can add another step after the background step to update that field. This should be done with a BAPI but I have also seen implementations where the table is updated directly (not recommended, but it does happen).
