hyperlink in send mail step

hi

I know there are many threads for hyperlink in send mail step

but my question is , is there any basis setting involved in making the format of the external email (that reaches outlook or lotus) from SOST to Html or plain text ?

when I put the code in same line -

<A HREF="http://www.yahoo.com"> http://www.google.com</A>

I see even the result exactly like this in the final outlook email

whereas in the SOST message i see it correctly - http://www.google.com

since it is corectly seen in SOST, is there any setting required in Scot or otherwise ?
