Hello Gurus,
I am considerably new to WF and I am working on GL Park and Post WF (WS10000051).
I have created a sub WF for the same, and this sub WF is triggered whenever the GL document is saved as completed.
As soon as the document is saved as completed, I need to send a notification mail to the approver to tell him either release or reject the document.
This mail would be sent to the Outlook. From Outlook, he should be able to execute the workitem, that is either release or reject the FI document in SAP.
I assume for the same, I can use the Extended notification feature. I have created a new category and I have done the required settings as per the few documents that I have found on SDN using SWNCONFIG.
I will model an activity step in sub WF to determine the approver. After this step, I will model another activity step using the standard task TS00007914.
My concern is how will the notification mail go to the approver? Do I need to do anything more than this in the sub WF? The Outlook external ids will be maintained in the User master profile and HR master data.
I will be scheduling a batch job ebery 15 minutes to run SWN_SELSEN.
Please let me know if I am missing out on anything.
